An Industrialist and Corporate trainer, Shilpa Agrawal, from Nagpur has been selected to represent India at Mrs Universe 2017 contest in Durban, South Africa which would be held from August 25 to September 3.
Shilpa, a well known industrialist, is a Managing Director of Akash Furnitech Pvt Ltd. In 2014, Shilpa has won Mrs Nagpur in 2004 and later bagged Mr and Mrs Nagpur title along with her husband Akash. She had participated in Gladrags Mrs India and Mrs India world contest. She bagged the first runner-up title in Mrs India Globe.
Besides her pageant stints, she won numerous awards such ‘Best woman industrialist of the region’ in 2013 awarded by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, ‘Women achievers award’ in the field of industry and entrepreneurship by The Times of India and Maharashtra Times by cabinet minister of Maharashtra Chandrashekhar Bawankule in April 2016. Shilpa was also awarded ‘Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini award’ by Congress in November 2016.
